What I Have I Give To You – Daily Inspiration, August 1, 2012

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.'” Acts 3:6

Just like the crippled beggar at the temple gate called Beautiful who asked Peter and John for money, we often ask God to intervene and solve our immediate problems. God, Who sees and knows all, doesn’t just want to solve our small problems, He wants to give us a new life and help for all our problems. Peter didn’t have money, but what he had through the authority of Jesus Christ was the power to improve the beggar’s life by healing him. So, don’t be discouraged when you feel your prayers are going unanswered. Instead of giving you what you want, Our Father may have something better in mind: giving you what you really need.

May the Lord be with you today.

  1. I am very happy to know that I stumble here. Been having a lot of problems on my work lately and duly needs God’s guidance that I may persevere and could understand the things I am enduring these past few weeks. I pray to the Lord that he will let me have the inner peace and motivation to not give up. To fight on and save the work I had been doing. With all my heart, I pray for your undying love and guidance.
