“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50: 20
Joseph spoke these words to his brothers shortly after their father’s death. If you know the story of Joseph, then you are aware of how profound that statement is. Joseph, the victim of jealousy and rage, was sold into slavery, falsely accused and jailed. Yet, from these hardships, good prevailed. Joseph, through his God-given ability to interpret dreams, was able to save the lives of many by instructing Egypt to store up for the upcoming famine. In turn, he was was able to prevent his family- including those brothers that sold him into slavery- from becoming destitute during the famine.
Let’s trust God as Joseph trusted. Wait patiently and expectantly on Him during bad situations. God will overrule evil intentions to bring about His intended results.
May God bless you today and always.
